It’s November and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It has been an #amazing year and I am so grateful for all that has happened. I am sure it has been a wonderful year for you as well. The fact that you are still here and able to read this message is a blessing for which to be thankful.
I am a proponent of giving thanks, not only when the major things happen in my life but also for the smallest things. No traffic when driving to the office, a beautiful sunrise or a clear night with tons of visible stars. All of which are incredible gifts from the Creator that when we go about are extremely busy lives, we tend to take for granted and never bother to say Thank You.
This month let’s take the time to say Thank You. Thank you for the parking space close to the door, thank you for the rabbits playing in the grass, thank you for the birds that will sing outside your window, thank you for the hug from your child, thank you for the interesting conversation with the stranger in the coffee shop, thank you for the penny you found on the ground, thank you for waking up this morning. Thank you for your job, thank you for your promotion, thank you for your paycheck, thank you for your corner office. What ever comes your way; take the time to say thanks. Make this a habit; one that you perform 100 times a day.
When you do this, you will be surprised at what starts to happen in your life. The more thanks you give, the more things happen for which you can be thankful. Try it! Give it 30 days! See what happens.
While you are thanking the Creator for the things you are enjoying, be sure to thank him for the things that you wish weren’t happening. What? I know, it won’t be easy but here’s the thing. While you are gong through it, you probably feel like it is the worse thing ever BUT you are going through it for a reason – the Creator is working on you. Making you bigger, better, stronger. He is setting you up for greatness. Stretching your abilities to handle the blessings coming your way.
I can remember a time in my life where my business had crashed and it seemed as if nothing was going my way. I couldn’t understand why all of these “horrible” things were happening to me. Yes, a pity party at its best. But as I look back over all of that, I realize that I had to go through all of it for me to be able to do what I am doing now.
If I had not gone through any of it, I would not be an Empowerment Coach, there would be no Amazing Woman Network touching the lives of over 24,000 women around the world! God was preparing me to walk in my destiny. I love what I do and can’t imagine my life doing anything other than impacting the lives of people.
This month, thank God for the little and the big things but also thank Him for the things that are happening that you are not quite sure of. Ask Him to show you why they are happening and to show you your destiny! Your life will never be the same!
